Podium Presentations
Abstracts submitted by August 1 will be considered for
1 of 13 podium presentations.
Larry Rudel Award
The Larry Rudel Award honors outstanding trainees working on topics closely related to lipid metabolism and lipid-related disease. Three graduate students or post docs within 5 years of their terminal degree will have the opportunity to compete for a $500 cash prize. Presentations will be made at a dedicated session with judges selecting the top presentation.
Session Presentations
Selected abstracts will be scheduled into one of 10 slots reserved for Early Career Scientists (undergraduates, graduate students, post docs or faculty within 5 years of initial appointment.) All topics will be considered.
Complimentary Accommodations
Individuals selected for these presentations will receive complimentary accommodations if funds are available.
Judged Poster Session
All abstracts are eligible for presentation in the judged poster session. Abstracts are accepted until close of registration on August 22. Cash prizes are given for best presentations for undergraduates, graduate students, staff, and post docs.

Judging criteria includes an assessment of the quality of the poster, of the ability for the presenter to provide a clear description of the research, and of the presenters ability to respond to questions.

Trainee Research Blitz
Abstracts submitted but not accepted for podium presentations are eligible to be presented as a 90 second Research Blitz thus giving all trainees the opportunity to present at the podium. Check the box in the abstract submission portal to indicate your willingness to participate.
Abstract Guidelines
Abstracts must include the title, list of authors with the presenting author listed first, author affiliations, the rank of the presenter and the scientific text. The document should be no longer than one page in a PDF format.
Poster Guidelines
The recommended format for a poster is landscape. The dimensions of the display boards are 4 ft by 8 ft in.
Refund Policy
Conference registration may be cancelled with a full refund (less $30 processing fee) provided written notice is received by August 1. A 50% refund is available for conference registration provided written notification is received between August 2 and August 15. No refunds are available after August 16.
